Towers, Masts & Antennas

These are usually one of the first items of a Silent Key’s estate that their survivors will want to dispose of. There are a variety of reasons, such as an eyesore or some safety issues. That being the case an Amateur Radio operator who is setting up his documentation may want to have some warnings about the removal of towers, masts & antennas. They can list possible tower companies or experienced people in the local amateur radio club who are qualified to safely remove the antenna farm, or antenna patch whatever the case may be. No matter the size of the supports or antennas there’s always the possibility of injuries or damage to the property.

That being the case, it should be someone’s responsibility to oversee the safe removal of any equipment located outside the residence or location of the Silent Key’s former operating site.
